Salad Dressing is a management simulator in which the player must prepare either salad or laundry for customers depending on their requests. They must assign orders to washing machines, keep an eye on timers, and remember which orders are in which washing machine before the customers' patience wears thin. This was a project I worked on during the Global Game Jam in a team of six. Under 48 hours, I designed the core mechanic to express the randomly assigned theme ("duality"), adjusted in-game timers to encourage dynamic gameplay, and wrote in-game instructions to teach players the ins and outs. I also wrote NPC dialogue to communicate their patience levels and reactions to correct or wrong orders, but we didn't have enough time to implement it into the game.
